10 Must-Try Tips & Good Ideas

A simple way to keep bugs out of drinks.

GENIUS...Line a pathway with rocks painted in glow in the dark paint. During the day they "charge" in the sun and in the evening they reflect the stored light.

Love this!  Put a wooden spoon or stick into yogurt.  Freeze it and enjoy frozen yogurt pops!

New way to do "French Tip" style. Stretch a rubber band across the nail. It pulls the skin back too, so I don't get the nail polish everywhere and it's less time consuming than putting on stickers or tape on every finger.

Smart! Easy way to make hanging flower balls. This is genius! Wiffle balls from dollar store, dollar store fake flowers, pull the stems off the flower, hot glue around the circle in the wiffle ball, press flower into the hole making sure the bottom of the flower, keep going until the ball is full of flowers, then hang with a ribbon.

Shower curtain rings on hanger=place to hang scarves...need to do this!

Chill coconut milk overnight, add vanilla and cinnamon and then whip....dairy free, sugar free, gluten free whipping cream.

"The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. We just use kitchen scissors to cut what we need for meals. I periodically empty out the water, rinse the roots off and give them fresh water."

Wasp Trap. {shiver}

Busy Mom Puffins (Pancake Muffins) Preheat oven to 350, mix 1 c pancake mix, 2/3 c water, 1/2 c syrup. Mix together, pour in greased muffin pan. Top with banana, blueberries, chocolate chips, pecans, sausage, bacon....etc. Bake for 12-14 minutes and serve. Easy, fast, delicious & no syrupy mess!!

  4. I tried the puffins earlier this year. WAY too much maple syrup. They were uber spongy and just gross. Needless to say, my kids didn't eat them. I tried a plain flavor and a banana one and both flopped.

    The onion trick works. I tried it too and got quite a lot of onions to freeze! Just be sure to not forget to change the water. I've heard that you can do this with romaine lettuce stumps too.

    Love your blog!
