CT scan showed NO SPOT on my kidney!
Bone scan is CLEAR!
I was called on Thursday by a nurse with the good news, and I have been rejoicing ever since. I am so very thankful.
I received my CT report in the mail today and when reading it, I just cried. Tears of gratitude. It is an amazing thing to be able to have my insides looked at, to have them written about in such detail, and for those details to include the words, "NO SIGN OF METASTATIC DISEASE."
I have not had a CT scan or bone scan in a year, so it is really reassuring to know that there is nothing growing in there that should not be! At least nothing cancerous...I do have some snarky ovarian cysts that like to visit me, but when compared with what could be they are simply just a bother.
Let me share with you some of what my report said..beautiful, beautiful words!
~Axillary is clear.
~Lungs are clear
~No pulmonary nodules
~Liver is normal
~Spleen is normal
~Pancreas and Adrenal glands appear within satisfactory limits
~Kidneys demonstrate symmetric uptake of contrast
~A Renal (kidney) mass in not identified
~Aorta is normal
Yippee Do Da Hallelujah!
So what do they say about the spot on my kidney? "The previously questioned lesion on the right kidney is most likely secondary to prominent column of Bertin." Wha??
I'm not sure what a "prominent column of Bertin" is, but I do know that it is not worrisome, and it usually takes both an ultrasound and a CT scan to figure out that it is not something more scary.
It was interesting to read that there was some fluid that could indicate a recent ovarian cyst rupture, and they also saw that pesky right cyst that is giving me heck each month. It had shrunk down a bit, but still there. The intense pain I had earlier in the month could have been a rupturing cyst, or it could have been due to how large my cyst had gotten. I have several, they just like to keep me company. They were introduced to my by my meds that I have to take for the next 4 years, so I will try to live with them.
My prayer is that they do not cause too much trouble. I can handle pain to a certain extent each month, but last month was very intense and if it continues to be that way we may have to take more drastic measures and shut down my ovaries for a bit with drugs. Blech. Don't want to do that. We will see!

So glad you are doing well!! God is showing off!!
